Steel Structural Tunnel Liner Plate was specified by Minnesota DOT to reline twin 10' X 10' reinforced concrete box culverts. The project was in St Peter, MN on TH 22. An arch shape on steel channels was used for relining instead of round pipe. The invert of the culvert could not be raised so a hot dip galvanized horseshoe shaped arched was used to maximum the flow and not raise the invert elevation of the culvert. The culvert invert could not be raised as it would affect the hydraulics of the culvert. The entire project was constructed without disrupting any traffic. A new concrete headwall was poured around the plate arch to finish construction of the culvert.

CSP crane tower enclosers are a stay in place enclosure that allows for the crane to be placed at basement level. During the building construction process, fill is brought up around the pipe to final ground surface elevation. After the project, the crane can be disassembled from inside the pipe enclosure. After the crane is removed the CSP is filled with compacted soil. CSP played a vital role in the construction of the high rise building.

Two CMP Detention Systems (54" - shown and 30" diameter) were chosen for their structural capacity, design flexibility and economics. In the photo above, the 54" systems sits between the larger of two buildings and the western property line and is connected to vast array of 54" CMP between the two buildings on site. The two systems provided a total storage of 61,807 CF.

No special backfill was needed to be imported onto the project site. This saved the owner a substantial amount of tax dollars as well as saved several transportation trucks that would have been otherwise needed to haul off existing fill and bring in select fill.
