ViaCon Polska replaced an aging reinforced concrete culvert beneath Lwowska Street in Tarnów using a corrugated steel structure that minimized traffic disruptions during construction. The project restored a critical transportation corridor connecting the city center with St. Luke Regional Hospital.

Lwowska Street is one of Tarnów’s most important transportation corridors, providing a direct connection between the city center and St. Luke Regional Hospital. When the aging reinforced concrete culvert beneath the roadway reached the end of its service life, local officials faced an important challenge: replace the structure while keeping traffic moving along one of the city’s busiest streets.

Rather than selecting a traditional concrete replacement, the project team chose a corrugated steel culvert that significantly reduced construction time and shortened the duration of temporary traffic restrictions.
